Belgian Maryna Zanevska, the No 7 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Open by beating Romanian qualifier Alexandra Ignatik 6-4, 6-1 at Am Rothenbaum in Hambourg on Wednesday afternoon.
Zanevska, ranked No 72, will play Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the No 4 seed, next.
The Belgian won against Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (4-6, 6-4, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Ignatik, ranked No 172, won against Japanese qualifier Nao Hibino (6-3, 2-6, 6-2).
