Hungarian Panna Udvardy moved into the last 16 of the Hamburg Open by beating Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 at Am Rothenbaum.
Udvardy, ranked No 87, will play the winner of the match between German Eva Lys and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the second seed, next.
