Hamburg Open: Sasnovich advances to last eight
Aliaksandra Sasnovich defeated Aleksandra Krunic 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday and will play the winner of the match between Belgian Maryna Zanevska, the No 7 seed, and Romanian qualifier Alexandra Ignatik in the next round
Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the No 4 seed, won against Serb Aleksandra Krunic 6-3, 6-2 to reach the last eight of the Hamburg Open at Am Rothenbaum in Hambourg on Wednesday.
Sasnovich, ranked No 35, will face the winner of the match between Belgian Maryna Zanevska, the No 7 seed, and Romanian qualifier Alexandra Ignatik next.
In the previous round, the Belarusian beat German wildcard Nastasja Schunk (6-1, 6-4).
Krunic, ranked No 75, defeated German qualifier Sabine Lisicki (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round.
