German wildcard Noma Noha Akugue edged out Australian Storm Hunter 0-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Open at Am Rothenbaum.
Noha Akugue, ranked No 207, will face Italian Martina Trevisan next.
Ahead of her victory, the 19-year-old German won against Brazilian Laura Pigossi (7-5, 6-4).
Hunter, ranked No 154, beat Croat Donna Vekic, the top seed (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Hamburg tournament.
