Haddad Maia extends wining streak to 12 matches by reaching Eastbourne quarters

Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia extended her unbeaten streak on grass to 12 matches after beating wildcard Jodie Anna Burrage to reach the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne International at Devonshire Park on Wednesday.
Haddad Maia, seeded 15th this week, defeated Burrage 6-1, 6-2 to set up a quarter-final clash against Ukrainian qualifier Lesia Tsurenko.
Tsurenko defeated Poland’s Magda Linette 7-5, 3-6, 7-5.
Haddad Maimi, ranked No 29 in the world, had won titles in Nottingham and Birmingham coming into this week and her 12-match winning streak is the best on the women’s tour since Serena Williams won 20 in a row between Wimbledon in 2015 and 2018.
