Guangzhou Open: Wang through to quarter-finals
Xiyu Wang edged out Sijia Wei 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 on Wednesday and will face Italian Lucia Bronzetti in the next round

Xiyu Wang reached the quarter-finals of the Guangzhou Open by edging out wildcard Sijia Wei 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Wang, ranked No 99, will play Italian Lucia Bronzetti next.
Xiyu Wang won against Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-2, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Guangzhou tournament, Wei, ranked No 135, defeated Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, the No 6 seed (6-1, 6-4).
