Top seed Katerina Siniakova won against Croat qualifier Petra Martic 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Guangzhou Open at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Siniakova, ranked No 48, will play American lucky loser Alycia Parks next.
