Guangzhou Open: Pera beats Eala to reach second round
The American will play the winner of the match between Chinese wildcard Shuai Zhang and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed, in the next round

American Bernarda Pera won against Filipino qualifier Alexandra Eala 6-0, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Guangzhou Open at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Pera, ranked No 79, will play the winner of the match between Chinese wildcard Shuai Zhang and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed, next.
