Guangzhou Open: Pera books spot in quarter-finals against Siniakova
The American won against Shuai Zhang 6-2, 6-2 in the second round on Thursday

American Bernarda Pera reached the last eight of the Guangzhou Open by beating Chinese wildcard Shuai Zhang 6-2, 6-2 at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Thursday.
Pera, ranked No 79, will play top seed Katerina Siniakova next.
The American won against Filipino qualifier Alexandra Eala (6-0, 6-3) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Zhang, a two-time champion here and now ranked No 237, defeated Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-1).
