Guangzhou Open: Bronzetti moves into last four
Lucia Bronzetti defeated Xiyu Wang 6-4, 6-1 on Friday and will face American qualifier Caroline Dolehide in the next round

Italian Lucia Bronzetti reached the semi-finals of the Guangzhou Open by defeating Chinese Xiyu Wang 6-4, 6-1 at the Nansha International Tennis Center on Friday.
Bronzetti, ranked No 84, will face American qualifier Caroline Dolehide next.
Ahead of her victory, the Italian won against Armenian Elina Avanesyan, the No 4 seed (6-1, 6-4) and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian (7-6 (5), 6-4).
Wang, ranked No 99, won against Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-2, 6-4) and edged out wildcard Sijia Wei (3-6, 6-0, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
