Serb Aleksandra Krunic reached the last 16 of the Grand Est Open by edging out Greek Valentini Grammatikopoulou 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 at Tennis Club de Contrexéville in Contréxeville on Monday.
Krunic, ranked No 212, will face German Anna-Lena Friedsam, the No 5 seed, next.
