Grand Est Open: Galfi books spot in semi-finals

Hungarian Dalma Galfi, the No 6 seed, beat Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 6-0 to advance to the last four of the Grand Est Open at Tennis Club de Contrexéville on Friday evening.
Galfi, ranked No 89, will play Hungarian Anna Bondar, the top seed, next.
The Hungarian won against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3) and Romanian Alexandra Ignatik (6-4, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Paolini, ranked No 72, won against American Bernarda Pera (0-6, 6-2, 6-1) and Russian Anna Blinkova (6-0, 6-3).
