Grand Est Open: Ferro into last eight, meets Bucsa next

Wildcard Fiona Ferro edged out No 6 seed Diane Parry 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 to reach the last eight of the Grand Est Open at Tennis Club de Contrexéville in Contréxeville on Thursday.
Ferro, ranked No 301, will face Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Fiona Ferro beat Slovak Rebecca Sramkova (7-5, 0-6, 6-2).
Parry, ranked No 96, won against Kristina Mladenovic (6-3, 7-6 (2)) in the previous round of the Contréxeville tournament.
