Grand Est Open: Errani wins the title
Sara Errani won the title on Sunday against Dalma Galfi.
Italian Sara Errani edged out Hungarian Dalma Galfi, the No 6 seed, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (4) to win the Grand Est Open tournament at Tennis Club de Contrexéville on Sunday afternoon.
Errani, ranked No 161, defeated Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva (7-6 (5), 6-3), Serb Olga Danilovic (2-6, 6-2, 6-4), qualifier Camilla Rosatello (6-2, 6-3) and Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-3, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Galfi, ranked No 89, beat Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3), Romanian Alexandra Ignatik (6-4, 6-4), Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-0) and top seed Anna Bondar (6-3, 6-1).
