Italian Sara Errani won against Spaniard Cristina Bucsa 6-3, 6-2 to reach the final of the Grand Est Open at Tennis Club de Contrexéville on Saturday afternoon.
Errani, ranked No 161, will play the winner of the match between top seed Anna Bondar and No 6 seed Dalma Galfi next.
The 35-year-old Italian beat Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva (7-6 (5), 6-3), Serb Olga Danilovic (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) and qualifier Camilla Rosatello (6-2, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Bucsa, ranked No 131, won against Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle (6-2, 6-3), Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 5 seed (7-5, 6-2) and Frenchwoman Jessika Ponchet (W/O).
