Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed, edged out Frenchwoman Selena Janicijevic 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (4) to reach the final of the Grand Est Open 88 on Saturday.
Sherif, ranked No 78, will play Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Egyptian beat Russian Polina Kudermetova (6-2, 1-0 ret.), American Maria Mateas (6-1, 6-1) and Colombian Emiliana Arango, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-2).
Janicijevic, ranked No 225, won against wildcard Amandine Hesse (6-1, 6-3), Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-4) and Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic (2-6, 6-2, 6-3) in the previous rounds.
