Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot, the No 8 seed, edged out Russian qualifier Elena Pridankina 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 to advance to the last 16 of the Grand Est Open 88 on Tuesday evening.
Jacquemot, ranked No 151, will face Romanian Andreea Mitu next.
