Grand Est Open 88: Bronzetti beats Jacquemot to reach last four
The Italian will play Chinese lucky loser Xinyu Gao in the next round

Italy’s Lucia Bronzetti, the No 4 seed, edged out Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot, the No 8 seed, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the semi-finals of the Grand Est Open 88 on Friday.
Bronzetti, ranked No 81, will face Chinese lucky loser Xinyu Gao next.
Ahead of her win today, the Italian won against Swiss Simona Waltert (6-1, 6-2) and Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl (7-5, 5-7, 6-3).
Jacquemot, ranked No 151, edged out Russian qualifier Elena Pridankina (4-6, 6-4, 7-6) and beat Romanian Andreea Mitu (6-3, 6-0) earlier in the week.
