Grand Est Open 88: Bronzetti moves into final

Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 4 seed, moved into the final of the Grand Est Open 88 by winning against Chinese lucky loser Xinyu Gao 6-2, 6-1 on Saturday.
Bronzetti, ranked No 81, will play the winner of the match between Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed, and Frenchwoman Selena Janicijevic next.
Ahead of her victory, the Italian beat Swiss Simona Waltert (6-1, 6-2), Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl (7-5, 5-7, 6-3) and Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot, the No 8 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).
Gao, ranked No 187, defeated Serb Lola Radivojevic (6-0, 6-4), Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 5 seed (6-2, 5-7, 6-2) and French wildcard Margaux Rouvroy (6-4, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
