Chinese qualifier Yafan Wang reached the last 16 of the Golden Gate Open at Stanford by winning against Ukrainian Daria Snigur 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 on Monday night.

Wang, ranked No 158, will face German Tamara Korpatsch, the top seed, next.
