Golden Gate Open at Stanford: Rakhimova finishes strong to book place in round of 16

Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the second seed, won against wildcard Angelica Blake 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 to reach the last 16 of the Golden Gate Open at Stanford on Monday night.
In a seesaw affair that saw nine breaks of serve, it was Rakhimova who managed to finish strong, winning the final set 6-1 to book her place in the round of 16.
Rakhimova, ranked No 80, will play Robin Montgomery next.
