Chinese Xiyu Wang moved into the final of the Galaxy Holding Group Guangzhou Open by beating Belgian Greet Minnen, the No 7 seed, 6-3, 6-4 on Friday afternoon.
Wang, ranked No 88, will face Pole Magda Linette, the top seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the 22-year-old Chinese won against Argentinian Nadia Podoroska (6-3, 6-3), Russian Diana Shnaider (6-4, 7-5) and Slovak lucky loser Viktoria Hruncakova (6-4, 4-6, 6-3).
Minnen, ranked No 68, defeated Frenchwoman Diane Parry (6-2, 6-2), qualifier Harriet Dart (7-6 (7), 6-7 (5), 6-4) and Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 4 seed (6-7 (8), 6-4, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
