Dane Clara Tauson moved into the last 16 of the Galaxy Holding Group Guangzhou Open by beating No 6 seed Linda Fruhvirtova 6-2, 7-6 (6) on Monday night.
Tauson, ranked No 76, will play the winner of the match between Chinese wildcard Xiaodi You and Kazakh Yulia Putintseva next.
