Former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki reaches first WTA quarter-final in four years

Former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki defeated Belgian Greet Minnen 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Bad Homburg Open on Wednesday.
Lisicki, who needed a wildcard to enter the tournament, is playing her first WTA main draw since 2019. The win moved her into her first WTA level quarter-final since February 2018 and her first quarter-final on home soil since 2013.
She will next meet Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, who defeated qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3, 6-4.
