Florianopolis Open: Capurro Taborda beats Mandlik to move into last eight
Martina Capurro Taborda defeated Elizabeth Mandlik in straight sets on Thursday in Florianopolis. Capurro Taborda is through to the quarter-finals.

Argentina’s Martina Capurro Taborda reached the last eight of the Florianopolis Open by beating American Elizabeth Mandlik, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
Capurro Taborda, ranked No 194, will face Frenchwoman Carole Monnet next.
Ahead of her victory, the Argentinian defeated Brazilian wild card Carolina Bohrer Martins (6-3, 6-4).
Mandlik, ranked No 115, previously beat Swiss qualifier Conny Perrin (6-3, 6-2) at this Brazil-based tournament.
