Romanian Miriam Bulgaru reached the second round of the Florianopolis Open by winning against Brazilian Laura Pigossi 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4), 6-0 on Tuesday.

Bulgaru, ranked No 200, will play Argentinian Solana Sierra next.
