Tomljanovic battles into last eight at Florianopolis Open
Ajla Tomljanovic earned one of the eight quarter-final spots in Florianopolis by winning a three-set thriller against Ipek Oz on Thursday.

Australian wild card Ajla Tomljanovic advanced to the quarter-finals of the Florianopolis Open by edging out Ipek Oz 5-7, 7-6(6), 7-5 on Thursday evening.
Tomljanovic will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Solana Sierra and Romanian Miriam Bulgaru next.
In the previous round of this Brazilian-based tournament, Tomljanovic beat Frenchwoman Fiona Ferro (6-7(5), 7-5, 6-3).
Oz, ranked No 222, previously defeated Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 6 seed (7-5, 6-0), in the Florianopolis first round .
