Firenze Ladies Open: Bronzetti moves into last eight

Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 8 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Firenze Ladies Open by winning against Slovenian qualifier Dalila Jakupovic 7-6 (1), 6-3 on Wednesday.
Bronzetti, ranked No 98, will play the winner of the match between Australian Priscilla Hon and Swiss qualifier Celine Naef next.
Ahead of her victory, the Italian defeated Australian Olivia Gadecki (3-6, 6-3, 6-0).
Jakupovic, ranked No 207, beat Mexican Fernanda Contreras Gomez (6-3, 6-1) in the previous round.
