Fifth Third Charleston 125 2: Zarazua thrashes Escorihuela to book spot in quarter-finals

Mexican Renata Zarazua, the top seed, moved into the last eight of the Fifth Third Charleston 125 2 by beating Spaniard Irene Burillo Escorihuela 6-2, 6-1 on Thursday evening.
Zarazua, ranked No 60, will face American Louisa Chirico, the No 6 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Mexican won against Russian Alina Charaeva (6-2, 7-6 (5)).
Burillo Escorihuela, ranked No 216, won against Georgian qualifier Ekaterine Gorgodze (6-1, 7-5) in the previous round.
