Belgian Elise Mertens moved into the last 16 of the Eastbourne Open by winning against wildcard Yuriko Lily Miyazaki 6-1, 6-2 at Devonshire Park Lawn Club on Tuesday.
Mertens, ranked No 33, will face No 3 seed Jasmine Paolini next.
