Pole qualifier Magda Linette edged out Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the No 8 seed, 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 to advance to the last 16 of the Eastbourne Open at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
Linette, ranked No 46, will play the winner of the match between Karolina Muchova and Russian qualifier Elina Avanesyan next.
