Keys downs Gauff to reach Eastbourne final

Madison Keys advanced to the final of the Eastbourne International by defeating No 5 seed Coco Gauff 6-3, 6-3 on Friday.

Keys, ranked No 25, will play the winner of the match between Italian Camila Giorgi and Russian Daria Kasatkina next.

Madison Keys won against lucky loser Tereza Martincova (7-6 (4), 6-4), Chinese qualifier Xiyu Wang (6-2, 7-6 (3)) and Croat lucky loser Petra Martic (6-4, 6-1) ahead of her victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Gauff, ranked No 7, won against Bernarda Pera (6-3, 6-2), lucky loser Jodie Burrage (6-1, 6-1) and No 3 seed Jessica Pegula (6-3, 6-3).
