American Madison Keys won against Chinese qualifier Xiyu Wang 6-2, 7-6 (3) to move into the last eight of the Eastbourne International at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
Keys, ranked No 25, will play Croat lucky loser Petra Martic next.
Ahead of her victory, the American defeated Czech lucky loser Tereza Martincova (7-6 (4), 6-4).
Wang, ranked No 73, won against Canadian lucky loser Rebecca Marino (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
