Eastbourne International: Giorgi moves into semi-finals

Italian Camila Giorgi moved into the last 4 of the Eastbourne International when Latvian Jelena Ostapenko retired on Thursday evening at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
Giorgi, ranked No 67, led 7-6 (8) when Ostapenko, ranked No 17, pulled out at Devonshire Park Lawn Club on Thursday evening.
The Italian will play Russian Daria Kasatkina next.
Ahead of her victory, Camila Giorgi beat lucky loser Heather Watson (6-3, 6-4) and Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 4 seed (6-3, 6-2).
The Latvian won against lucky loser Barbora Strycova (6-4, 6-3) and wildcard Harriet Dart (6-3, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Eastbourne tournament.
