Dutch Open: Bencic to meet Kudermetova in quarter-finals
Belinda Bencic has a 4-3 lead over Veronika Kudermetova, including wins in their last three matches
Swiss Belinda Bencic defeated Russia’s Anna Kalinskaya 7-6 [2], 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Dutch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen on Thursday.
Ranked No 17 in the world, Bencic will next meet sixth seed Veronika Kudermetova for a place in the semi-finals.
Kudermetova advanced when her opponent Anna Blinkova retired in the second set having led the match 7-5, 2-5.
Bencic leads Kudermetova 4-3 in head-to-head and the Swiss has won their last three encounters.
