Dubai Open: Wildcard Sun through to second round after Badosa retirement

Swiss wildcard Lulu Sun reached the second round of the Dubai Open when Spaniard Paula Badosa retired on Monday evening at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre.
Sun, ranked No 181, led 6-4 when Badosa, ranked No 74, pulled out on Monday evening at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre.
The 22-year-old Swiss will play Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 9 seed, next.
