Dubai Open: Samsonova into last 16 as Pavlyuchenkova withdraws
Liudmila Samsonova benefited from the forfeit of Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Tuesday and will face No 7 seed Marketa Vondrousova in the next round

No 12 seed Liudmila Samsonova advanced to the last 16 of the Dubai Open after Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova withdrew before the match at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
Samsonova, ranked No 15, will face No 7 seed Marketa Vondrousova next.
Samsonova defeated Bulgarian qualifier Viktoriya Tomova (7-6 (2), 6-3) in the previous round of the Dubai tournament.
Earlier in the week, Pavlyuchenkova, ranked No 24, won against Marie Bouzkova (6-4, 6-3).
