Dubai Open: Ostapenko makes second round

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 9 seed, won against Chinese qualifier Xiyu Wang 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Dubai Open at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Monday.
Ostapenko, ranked No 9, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa and Swiss wildcard Lulu Sun next.
