Dubai Open: Frech beats Martic to move into last 16
Magdalena Frech beat Petra Martic 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 on Tuesday and will face the winner of the match between Belarusian Victoria Azarenka and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, in the next round

Pole qualifier Magdalena Frech defeated Croat Petra Martic 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 to advance to the last 16 of the Dubai Open at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
Frech, ranked No 53, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian Victoria Azarenka and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, next.
The Pole won against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 14 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3) ahead of her win today.
Earlier in the week, Martic, ranked No 61, won against American Caroline Dolehide (6-4, 7-6 (4)).
