Qinwen Zheng beat Shuai Zhang 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Dubai Duty Free Championships at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Sunday.
Zheng, ranked No 24, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa and Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 14 seed, next.
