Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, moved into the last 16 of the Dubai Duty Free Championships by winning against Canadian Leylah Fernandez 6-1, 6-1 at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday evening.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, will play Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 14 seed, next.
In the previous round, Fernandez, ranked No 37, beat Austrian qualifier Julia Grabher (6-4, 6-2).
