Dubai Duty Free Championships: Ostapenko sets up clash with Sabalenka in last 16

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 13 seed, beat Czech wildcard Linda Fruhvirtova 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the last 16 of the Dubai Duty Free Championships at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.

Ostapenko, ranked No 20, will face Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next. Sabalenka beat Lauren Davis 6-0, 6-1.

The Latvian won against Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska (6-1, 6-4) in the previous round of the Dubai Open.

In the previous round of the Dubai Open, Fruhvirtova, ranked No 52, defeated American Danielle Collins (6-3, 6-4).
