Czech Barbora Krejcikova edged out Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 to reach the last 16 of the Dubai Duty Free Championships at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday night.
Krejcikova, ranked No 30, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Yulia Putintseva and Czech Petra Kvitova, the No 12 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Czech beat Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (6-4, 6-2).
