American Madison Keys was the first to reach the second round of the Dubai Duty Free Championships at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Sunday, defeating Italian qualifier Jasmine Paolini 6-1, 6-1.
Keys, ranked No 23, will face No 4 seed Caroline Garcia next.
