Dow Tennis Classic: Marino beats Tsurenko to book meeting with Parks in final

Canadian Rebecca Marino, the No 6 seed, moved into the final of the Dow Tennis Classic by winning against Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko, the No 8 seed, 6-2, 7-5 on Saturday evening.
Marino, ranked No 115, will play No 3 seed Alycia Parks next.
The 33-year-old Canadian beat American qualifier Robin Anderson (6-4, 7-6 (4)), American Louisa Chirico (6-7 (8), 6-2, 7-6 (7)) and Russian Alina Korneeva (6-4, 7-5) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Tsurenko, ranked No 122, defeated Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (6-2, 6-2), Swiss Jil Teichmann (7-5, 7-5) and American wildcard Karina Miller (3-6, 6-2, 6-2).
