Lauren Davis defeated Whitney Osuigwe 6-0, 6-1 on Wednesday evening and will face the winner of the match between American Varvara Lepchenko and Japanese qualifier Haruka Kaji in the next round

Wildcard Lauren Davis reached the last eight of the Dow Tennis Classic by winning against qualifier Whitney Osuigwe 6-0, 6-1 on Wednesday evening.
Davis, ranked No 387, will play the winner of the match between American Varvara Lepchenko and Japanese qualifier Haruka Kaji next.
Lauren Davis defeated Russian Alina Charaeva (7-6 (3), 6-3) in the previous round.
In the first round, Osuigwe, ranked No 379, won against German Tatjana Maria, the second seed (6-3, 6-3).
