German wildcard Sabine Lisicki defeated Italian Sara Errani, the No 6 seed, 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the Crèdit Andorrà Open on Monday night.
Lisicki, ranked No 400, will play the winner of the match between Russian wildcard Alina Charaeva and Swiss Joanne Zuger next.
