Colina Open: Bejlek beats Udvardy to reach semi-finals

Sara Bejlek reached the last four of the Colina Open by edging out Hungarian Panna Udvardy 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 at the Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica.
Bejlek, ranked No 194, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean, the No 8 seed, and Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 3 seed, next.
Sara Bejlek won against Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 6 seed (5-7, 6-2, 6-3) and Georgian qualifier Ekaterine Gorgodze (6-1, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Chilean tournament, Udvardy, ranked No 117, defeated Russian Diana Shnaider, the second seed (6-3, 6-4) and Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (6-4, 6-2).
