Karolina Pliskova beat Colombian Camila Osorio 6-2, 6-1 to reach the last 8 of the Cluj-Napoca Open at the BTarena.
Pliskova, ranked No 78, will play Italian Sara Errani next.
Ahead of her victory, Karolina Pliskova defeated Austrian qualifier Sinja Kraus (6-4, 7-6 (6)).
Osorio, ranked No 101, beat Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 7 seed (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Cluj-Napoca tournament.
