Cluj-Napoca Open: Bronzetti makes final

Italian Lucia Bronzetti reached the final of the Cluj-Napoca Open when No 5 seed Katerina Siniakova retired at the BT Arena on Saturday evening.
Bronzetti, ranked No 72, led 4-0 when Siniakova, ranked No 54, pulled out on Saturday evening at the BT Arena.
The Italian will face Russian Anastasia Potapova, the top seed, next.
Lucia Bronzetti defeated Romanian wildcard Simona Halep (6-1, 6-1), American Peyton Stearns, the No 3 seed (6-2, 7-6 (1)) and No 7 seed Elisabetta Cocciaretto (6-1, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Cluj-Napoca tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Katerina Siniakova won against qualifier Francesca Jones (6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4), American Caroline Dolehide (2-6, 6-1, 6-4) and Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (6-3, 7-6 (7)).
